What is it?
Talk therapy encompasses a wide range of counseling practices ranging from Cognitive Behavior Therapy to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy or Dialectical Behavior Therapy. No matter what modality your talk therapist is practicing from, the core commonality is a conversational dialogue between therapist and client. A supportive counselor uses thoughts, emotions and behaviors highlighted through dialogue to help with relationship difficulties, parenting support, anxiety, depression, and work related burnout. Someone to talk to and someone who listens well is one of the keys to successful talk based mental health treatment.
Talk therapy is done via telehealth or in-office sessions. We serve all of Iowa and Nebraska with secure telehealth counseling, and provide in -office sessions to residents of Omaha, Nebraska and Council Bluffs, Iowa and surrounding cities.
